Portadown Running Festival 2025

Portadown Running Festival 2025

This fast, flat and safe route has something to offer runners of all abilities.  Portadown Running Club is ready to welcome you to our third Race festival which we know will be an amazing race experience, catering for 10k and Half Marathon distances and new for 2025 we are adding a 5k race option.
Like 2024 our races will begin and end in the spacious Portadown Rugby Club grounds where we guarantee a warm welcome and a great atmosphere. The enjoyable route takes you along the scenic Bann river towpath loop towards Gilford.  Building on the success of previous years, we know this will be a very popular event in the running calendar and due to the demand last year we have increased our numbers to a maximum of 2000 runners taking part.
The convenient location means that there is plenty of parking within 5 minutes’ walk from the starting line. Bag drop and changing facilities will be available in the Rugby club facilities.  Please note no parking available at the rugby club.
Prize money in excess of £3,000 will be shared across the 1st, 2nd & 3rd places male and female in each race and 1st place in each category,  please select the category applicable below.
All runners will receive a unique Portadown Running Festival medal and running buff. The first 1,400 registrants for the HM and 10k Race will receive one of our very popular technical tops, so get registered before they sell out!
Please note all our entries are postal, please select NI or RoI postal options, bib collection is not available. If entering another runner/s please note race bibs are sent to participants separately so each are required to pay for postage.
As per Athletics NI regulations, the minimum age for entry to the 5k race is 11 years on race day; 10k – 15 years on race day and 17 on race day for the Half Marathon, younger runners than these stated ages will not be able to take part.
PRC looks forward to welcoming all participants back to our town for a great day’s running. Race times TBC and subject to necessary council permits.
We are a small club and offer this race to the running community to encourage people to get out and run, not for profit.  Our ambition, alongside our sponsors, is to cover our costs and make charitable donations from the profits raised chosen by our membership. In 2024 we supported NI Cancer Fund for Children and Craigavon Samaritans.
Registration will close Friday 28th February if not sold out! We will open a transfer window to accommodate name changes from 21st – 28th February. Postage of bibs to commence w/c 10th March
